For 4 people you need
6 oz. plain chocolate
| pint milk
3 oz. digestive biscuit crumbs
1 egg
To decorate
2 oz. chopped nuts

- Melt the chocolate in a basin over hot water.
- Add the milk gradually.
- Stir until thoroughly blended.
- Pour into a saucepan.
- Add the biscuit crumbs and stir until the mixture thickens.
- Add the egg yolk and simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring the whole time.
- Cool slightly, then whisk the egg white stiffly.
- Fold into the mixture.
- Pour into the oiled mould.
- Stand in a baking tin of hot water.
- Bake for time and temperature given.
- Allow to cool before turning out.
